Grove Launches!

Mon Dec 14, 2009, 7:08 PM
Grove! The happy squirrel platformer :D. I'll get some screenshots and such up later but for now you can grab a copy at:

I'll have a formal site for it soon too, at some point.

Grove's a 2.5D platformer which is really an exercise in minimalism. The market is flooded with hectic, chaotic games that incite frustration and over-excitement in their players, but Grove is designed to play smoothly and feel relaxing. There are no dangerous enemies, no death, no game overs, just good old fashioned fun. I don't have fun being frustrated.

Let's get games back to what is really fun.

Grove was made in Unity3d v2.6

deviantID

21 yr old Senior at MSU in Game Design & Development. My specialization is in the Design work, although I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty in scripting, audio, interface, or art.

My gallery contains screen captures from finished projects, as well as other random doodling. Most of the 3D art is done in Maya, most of the 2D art in photoshop, and the middleware I generally use is Unity3D (unless otherwise noted).

If you're interested in playing the games, let me know, as most are readily available for both windows (32- or 64- bit) and mac (intel).

**Note** I did not create all of the assets in the game projects listed. Each team member is listed, along with their 'official' role, under each deviation. Thanks, guys.
